Privacy Policy
Last updated:
This policy explains how n8n OVH Automation handles Google user data in its privately operated, self-hosted workflows.
1. Application operator and scope
n8n OVH Automation is a personal-use automation application operated by its owner. This policy applies to Google account data accessed through Google OAuth connections authorized for the application.
2. Data accessed
Only when the relevant permissions are granted and workflows are configured, the application may access:
- Google Sheets: spreadsheet identifiers, cell values, and content needed to read or append workflow records, such as exchange-rate entries.
- Google Drive: file identifiers, metadata, or files needed to locate or work with spreadsheets and other explicitly configured workflow resources.
- Google Calendar: event details, calendars, dates, times, and associated event metadata needed for owner-configured event synchronization or scheduling.
- OAuth connection data: authorization tokens and basic account information needed to maintain and operate authorized integrations.
3. How data is used
Google user data is used to authenticate API requests and perform workflows configured by the owner. Examples include recording currency exchange rates in a Google Sheet and, if enabled, synchronizing calendar events. It is not used for targeted advertising or sale of personal information.
4. Storage and retention
OAuth credentials are maintained within the self-hosted n8n credential system. Workflow data and execution records may be stored in the application's infrastructure, databases, logs, and operational backups. The amount and retention of such records depend on workflow and infrastructure settings. Records are removed when they are no longer needed, subject to applicable backup retention cycles.
5. Sharing and processing
The operator does not sell Google user data. Data may be transmitted to Google APIs and processed by the infrastructure providers necessary to operate the service, including server hosting and network delivery providers. If a workflow is configured to send information to another service, that transfer is limited to the owner's configured purpose and permissions.
6. Security
Administrative access is restricted, and the application uses authenticated Google OAuth connections. As with any internet-connected service, no security method can guarantee absolute protection.
7. Access, revocation, and deletion
The owner can revoke Google OAuth access from their Google Account's third-party connections settings, disconnect credentials, or remove workflow data from the application. To request information about stored data or its deletion, contact the operator using the address below. Backups may retain copies temporarily until their normal expiration.
8. Changes
This policy may be updated if the application adds integrations or materially changes its data handling. The current version will be posted here with its update date.
